The OSK Conserveringsgroep in Barendrecht recently received a mega order worth 45 million euros for the implementation of major and small maintenance and conservation work on the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier. This order is the biggest blasting and conservation project ever issued in the Netherlands.

OSK Conserveringsgroep is a joint venture between Van der Ende Infra Structure BV and Gelders Staalstraal- en Schildersbedrijf BV. Both family businesses have a long history and extensive experience with large conservation projects. OSK Conserveringsgroep will paint 32 of the huge storm surge sliders on commission of Rijkswaterstaat in the next 9 years. The whole complex of 64 sliders and the operating mechanism will then be maintained by the OSK Conserveringsgroep until 2035.
